* As of May 31st, 2022, all integrations with Emergency Reporting must be migrated to the Subscription Key Access model. If you are an current subscriber with and existing username/password based integration with Emergency Reporting you must complete Steps 1 and 2 below to complete your migration. *
In this article we will detail the steps necessary to connect you StationCAD account to your Emergency Reporting NFIRS Reporting account. With the release of the StationCAD Watchdesk Portal version 1.2020.7001.0, user can now connect their StationCAD account to Emergency Reporting (ER). This connection allows subscribers to have incident data received from your communications center automatically sent to ER. This incident data will be used to create and populate ER incidents with the following data:
- NFIRS Incident Type Code (translated from a user configurable mapping in the Watchdesk Portal)
- Incident Data and Time
- Incident Location
- Apparatus Responses and Times (if provided by your communications center)
To utilize this functionality, you must have the following:
- A current subscription to the StationCAD Watchdesk Portal
- A user account with Administrative access to the StationCAD Watchdesk Portal
- A current subscription to Emergency Reporting
- A user account with Administrative access to Emergency Reporting
- The FDID Number and State Location of your Emergency Reporting Account
Step 1: Request an API Subscription Key from Emergency Reporting
In order to access Emergency Reporting to send incident data, StationCAD needs an API Subscription Key for Emergency Reporting. There may be a cost associated with this request from Emergency Reporting. StationCAD does not charge for this integration but Emergency Reporting may charge a fee depending on your usage and/or contract.
For new integration requests: Send an email to service@eso.com and request an "Integration API Subscription Key". Include the following name for the Vendor: Vendor-Graphite Gear v2. A representative from Emergency Reporting will contact you regarding your request and inform you of any additional costs.
For subscribers with an existing integration: Follow this link to request your API Subscription Key and provide the following information...

Select "Graphite Gear" from the APP list.
Step 2: Retrieve the API Subscription Key from your Emergency Reporting account and enter it as a new Integration Setting in the Watchdesk Portal.

After an incident has been successfully sent to ER, the "Delete Incident from ER" button will be available. If you sent the incident by mistake you can remove it from ER by clicking this button.
- Regardless of how the incident data was added to ER, you can always log in to the ER web portal and remove the incident.
